    Great Watch for the Buck
Sporty, confortable, very elegant and it does catch the eye of even people not really interested in watches. Nices, features, not quite pleaced with the glow in the dark accents, but nothing I couldnt live without :
    2012-04-07 15:03:06

    Amazing watch, terrible band
This watch has one of the nicest looking faces that I have owned. However the band is very uncomfortable for my wrist. The band comes down at say a 45 degree angle and is unmovable so it pinches my wrist. This watch is not made for semi-wide wrists let alone someone with a wide wrist. The watch is top quality otherwise and Im too pleased with all the compliments I get to return. But the band makes wearing this watch for more than an hour or two very painful. :

The watch was deliverd 3 days early, looks great and have already had two people want to look at it. The only problem is the band is about two links to long, and I that will have to be fixed unless you have a wrist that is more than 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
    Very nice watch,  2012-04-07 18:12:24

The watch is excellent quality I was supprized of the detail and could easily pass For the 500 dollar list price shown great value !
    Invicta Diver,  2012-04-07 18:12:12

I currently own a number of invicta watches and was very impressed with the sharp look and style of this watch. I did not give 5 stars for the simple fact that the band feels lighter and more fragile than the invictas that I currently own. The watch is a good weight and would like the band to be a little thicker to support the large face. Good watch overall.
    Very Sharp  2012-04-07 18:12:01

I am initially impressed by the apparent quality of the watch, and I think it will prove to be a good purchase. The only concern that I had was the size of the watch. It is much larger than it appears in the photo, but it is accurately measured in the product description.
    Good Watch, A Little Large  2012-04-07 18:11:50

This is a good timepiece for 70 to 80 bucks. Here are some of the facts that you should probably consider before buying this watch: -Bracelet: Stainless Steel 316L -Movement: Japanese Quartz TMI VD57 Quartz Chronograph. Same layout as the famous Valjoux 7750. Chronograph, stop watch function. -Crystal: Flame Fusion. Nice upgrade from Invicta, They used to have mineral crystal with not scratches resistance properties. -Crown: Not Screw Down w/ Function Pushers. The absent of screw down crown confirm my doubts about its true water resistances. -Clasp: Deployant -Bracelet Measurements: 8-3/4 L x 22mm W. Will feet most wrists and easy to adjust. -Case Measurements: 43mm, not 44 as Amazon descriptions says. Not too big, not too small. Good for every one. Similar case used in Rolex models that Invicta seems to copy frequently. However, make no mistake this is not a Rolex. This is a 70 buck watch. -Water Resistance: 20 ATM - 200 meters - 660 feet. The 200m/660f water resistance make this watch a professional diver watch, however remember that this a Chinese mass produced timepiece with low to none quality control. So I would not recommended for professional diving. -120 clicks unidirectional rotating bezel. -Luminous Tritnite index markers -It came into a nice presentation box where the watch is well protected. So consider this as a perfect gift. If you found this review helpful, please vote yes.

This seems like a great everyday watch so far. It looks stylish and can be worn at the office or out with friends. It came with good packaging, although the storage case is one where the watch must be laid flat, so I usually don bother with that. Im not a watch expert by any means, so it would have helped to have more specific instructions with the watch rather than such general instructions. To change the day you actually have to pull it out to notch two and twist it 24 hours ahead to change to the right day. To change the date, simply pull it to notch one and go from there. Overall though, this is a very solid watch. Great Watch So Far 2012-04-07 18:58:27

This is a perfect daily watch for me. Comfortable, large numbers, easy to read hands...it would be better if the day/date were a little larger, but its hard to complain for the price. Unlike other Invicta watches, the band is of a decent length for average sized wrists. I like the brushed stainless look and fabric band. great every day watch 2012-04-07 18:58:12

Watch is clean looking with bold 12, 3 6 and 9 numerals. 43 mm watch is versatile - fine in the boardroom, on a sailboat and knocking about. Has date and day of the month indicators; I really like the Red colored SUN. The Trinite blue glow is very sharp. The nylon strap is more casual vs the look of the watch. Very happy with it. Comes with decent packaging too. Clean & athletic 2012-04-07 18:57:58

    User Reviews

This is a good watch for the money but like other reviewers I was disappointed to see a dirty smudge mark under the crystal which is an obvious quality control issue and which should never happen. This mark is quite obvious and spoils what is an otherwise well made, accurate and easy to read timepiece. I really like the luminous function which makes the watch clear and easy to read at night. Have also bought the rose gold and brown model and have had no issues with it.
Good watch for the money  2012-04-07 16:21:53

I received the Invicta Mens 1911 Specialty Collection Swiss Quartz Watch in a very bright, solid-yellow box that smelled strongly of lemon pledge. This odor might be bothersome for those with allergy problems. For me, it was simply annoying. I wore the watch constantly for the first month and the odor remained strong; it lingered for at least a month longer before it finally faded away. The watch arrived with a form for extending the limited one-year warranty another four years for a grand total of five years. See the photographs that I have posted on this website. The cost of extending the warranty depends upon the watchs Suggested Retail Price SRP. Since most of the Invicta watches cost over $500.00, the four year extension plan is going to cost $65.00, which is more than its current selling price on Amazon at the time of this posting. Furthermore, some of the information requested on the form is ambiguous. There is also an Instruction Manual and Warranty booklet. However, this manual is very generic and provides information on a wide gamut of watches manufactured by Invicta. If paying the SRP, one would expect Invicta would provide a booklet specifically for Model 1911. In order to obtain information on the functions of a specific watch, it is best to research it on Amazon. A business card is provided which gives Invictas website and e-mail address in case one needs customer service. A toll-free number is not provided. Personally, I like the luxury of speaking to a living, breathing person. I went to the website and typed in the model number and received an error message as though the watch didn`t exist. After perusing the instruction manual and Amazons website, I was disappointed to learn that the Model 1911 was a basic, no-frills watch. It does not give the date, it does not have a chronograph stopwatch and it does not have an alarm. It does have a bezel which is used for establishing how long one has been under the water. The large numbers are good for those with poor sight. The numbers also glow in the dark but they glow very faintly, almost to the point that they are nearly difficult to see. For such a high SRP of $495 on Amazon the watch, when received inside the box, had an SRP of $595, one would expect more functions. Furthermore, as far as the warranty is concerned, would one base the price of the four year extension plan on Amazons posted SRP or what was on the price tag attached to the actual watch received? Note: I posted a photograph of the price tag on this website in case you don believe me. On the back of the watchs face, one will find the following information: Swiss Parts Movement, Stainless Steel Case, 100M Water Resistant, Flame-Fusion Crystal, Tritnite Night Glow, and INVICTA Model No 1911. After examining the back of the watch, I have surmised that replacing the battery myself would be nearly impossible; it would be best if I took it to an Invicta retailer or a watch repair store. Some websites suggest that one do this while others give brief instructions on how to replace them yourself. Setting the time was easy for me. See instructions on page 10 of the booklet. The watch arrived with the time already set but it was a minute fast according to my Apple iPhone 4. I simply pulled out the crown at the 4:00 oclock position; the watch stopped so that I could reset the time; I pushed the crown back in and the time resumed. Thanks to the polyurethane strap, the watch is very comfortable to wear. As Ive stated earlier, Ive been wearing this watch for two months now without any problems. Also, the strap has ten notches on it that allow the watch to be easily adjusted for any size wrist. I have very tiny wrists and the watch fits me perfectly. Besides being very comfortable to wear, I find the Invicta Model 1911 attractive. The men in my office like it. One jokingly suggested that it could be used as a weapon because of its heaviness. My female friends seem to approve it; however, one thought it was large and gaudy. Personally, I enjoy wearing the watch everywhere I travel except when I attend church or a special social event. Then I wear my $600 gold-and-diamond Eco-Drive Citizen watch; it is powered by solar in lieu of a battery. The Eco-Drive was the selling point for me on this Citizen watch. Of course, the beautiful diamond face didn hurt. One of my coworkers, who is a former professional diver for the Navy, looked at the Invicta Model 1911 and said it appeared to be a good diving watch. He explained to me the operation of the bezel. The watch is waterproof up to 330 feet 100 meters; however, I will never wear it while swimming for fear of ruining it. I have worn it with confidence while washing dishes and walking outside while it was raining. I definitely wouldn do this with my gold-and-diamond watch. I have read reviews for other watches manufactured by Invicta; one reviewer reported her watchs face became cloudy after completely submerging her hand in a bucket
A Great No-Frills Mens Watch; However, I Wouldnt Pay the SRP  2012-04-07 16:21:41

I gave this watch as a gift but seriously thought about keeping it for myself. Great buy! Great quality. Received it one day after a ordered it!
    Great Watch  2012-04-07 16:21:24

This is a very classic conservative styled timepiece. I was really impressed with the quailty, weight, and look of this watch. This is my sixth Invicta and although it may be the cheapest Invicta that Ive purchased $54 Amazon it may be the third most that I admire. Its not too big but not too small 48mm case but it attracts a lot of attention. This watch can be dressed up or down and pulls it off brilliantly. If your on the fence get it!!!! You can go wrong @ this price!
    A Very Understated Show-Off  2012-04-07 16:21:12

The watch has nice big numbers on it, which is great for being able to read it. The rubber watch band is nice in that it will fit most people so if you give it as a gift they shouldn have to take it in and have it adjusted like a stainless one. It also has a nice feel to it. The band and the watch. I still prefer to have the stainless wrist band. you can put it on a little bit quicker. A couple of things I didn like about the watch. The rotating bezzel, the numbers are etched into it, not painted. so if you are a diver trying to see underwater how much time is left, I would think it would be harder to tell. It doesn have a date. Not that critical, but most watches I have seen have that. The rubber has kind of a strong smell to it. I would think that would go away with time. When you rotate the bezzel it just doesn seem as smooth as other watches I have owned. I believe Amazon has it on sale for $50. I don think you could go wrong for that price. The tag says MSRP $595.00. I don see any way this could be near that price. It feels like about a $100 watch at most. I am not a watch expert, but have owned a few diver watches and that is just my opinion.
Invicta Mens 1911 Specialty Collection Swiss Quartz Watch  2012-04-07 16:20:58

I gave this watch to my husband for Christmas. He is well over 6 foot tall and not a small man but...this is one humongous watch. He and I both like the watch but the face is almost two inches across and certainly draws attention when being worn. If it wasn quite as big I would consider sneaking it away and wearing it at times because it is a beautiful watch. Im not small and delicate either but it is just TOO big for me to wear and Ive worn and enjoyed other made-for-men watches. Seriously though, this would be a great watch for sight impaired people. The hour markings and the hour and minute hands are white on a black background and very large and easily seen. The watch has a very high-quality feel to it. The materials are first calibre, the polyurethane isn that what I use as a wood protectant on furniture band is flexible and heavy. The band is installed on the watch so that it curves just right to be easy to put on and clasp by yourself very nice plus. Its great that the watch has a second hand; wish it had the date. Since it has a sporty look, it helps that it is water resistant and with the waterproof band, it could actually be worn when playing sports, jogging, etc. Its not a huge plus for my husband since the only sport he plays is computer surfing. The band is long enough and adjustable enough that almost any large person could wear it. I measure it at 10 including the case, with 10 clasp holes, 1/4 apart. The watch is keeping excellent time. My husband set it at Christmas and it hasn lost or gained any time. My husband thought it was very funny that the watch comes with a nice well-made price tag attached to the band of the watch, showing the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price as $595.00. He said I really blew the Christmas budget. A couple of other negatives besides oversize - the glaring yellow vinyl case the watch comes in is really a putrid color. Looks radioactive. Plus, as others have mentioned, this lemon yellow case smells like lemon furniture polish and the scent is NOT diminishing. The odor is almost overpowering. All in all, a beautiful watch for the price - just wish the face was smaller.
Great watch for the sight impaired  2012-04-07 16:20:42

Im not overly fond of mens jewlery and fancy bright watches, but the black finish on this 1911 model is good looking and subtle for something this size. The case is 1 7/8 across and 1/2 thick. The face, numbers and hands are large and can be read without bringing the watch up to your face, a glance down will show you the time even if you wear glasses. Black rubber wrist strap is about 7/8 wide and almost 11 long end to end including the case... Up to 2 7/8 wrist size at large adjustment and down to 2 1/4 wrist size. Fits me on the third adjustment hole out from case, 2 1/2 wrist size Im 6 180lbs Of course you can always buy another band if you wanted/needed to. Seemed heavy at first, and it is compared to an average thin fashion watches, but weighs in at 4.2oz and that is the same as my Fossil watch that has a bit smaller case. Nice watch, and worth the discounted selling price. In my opinion, would never be worth what they say is the original Invicta MSRP to me. It seems you can Save enough off retail to buy another 6-8 of the same watches... ?? Most will agree that is a bit odd. You can download a PDF owners manual at the Invicta site for more detailed info on operation of the full line. Youll see at the top of the Amazon page there is a link to free extended warranty coverage at the Invicta web site... says all Invicta watches purchased at Amazon will have a free 4 year extension when you register with them. Note that mine came back in an Email notice reading one year after following the instructions so not sure whats up with that. Ive Emailed Invicta customer service for the answer to this but have not heard from them on the matter. I will certainly update here IF and when they do respond. I hope it keeps working for a long time, as I do like it.
Big beautiful watch...not too heavy for size  2012-04-07 16:20:26

This is a really nice watch, when i saw it offered through the amazon vine program i grabbed it! Its everything you would expect from a fabulous brand like invicta. The watch came in a beautiful invita box and when you open it up you smell citrus! The watch itself is incased in a very soft material and is very well protected. Its heavy and solid black also very easy to use..The manual also has information about a 5 year extended warrenty and its quiet affordable, its also very easy to set the time. The watch is fantastic, i highly recommend it!!

The Invicta 1911 Specialty Watch sports a broad, bold face that you can miss and won need to squint to see. In the light and in the dark, you can see the time quickly and easily. The durable, sturdy and heavy weight of the watch serves as an asset, as I don think any bang or scrape will hurt this beautiful face. However, the size and weight also earns its only criticism because the weight causes it to slide down a bit burdensomely if it is not on tightly. The band is big enough to fit giants. I have it latched about midway on the strap. The face luminates in seconds when the lights are turned off. I don expect to need another watch in a long time. For the current sale price, you can beat this watch
This Might be the Face you are Looking for in a Watch  2012-04-07 16:18:23
The Invicta Mens 1911 Specialty Collection Swiss Quartz Watch is the all-black variant of Invictas 1900 series 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910. - Classic and Elegant All-Black Design The unassuming but elegant all-black design of the watch makes it an excellent companion to any casual or semi-casual outfit Because of its size 48mm in diameter, and 13mm in thickness, this watch is not suited for formal wear. The matte texture of the bezel is a perfect contrast to the mirror polished sides and back. - High Quality Materials The case is composed entirely of stainless steel with a wear-resistant black coating. The watch features a scratch-resistant mineral watch face and a durable heavy gauge polyurethane watch strap. - Practical For The Outdoors or For Everyday Wear The 100 m / 330 ft water resistance of this watch makes it ideal for use in the outdoors. The Swiss quartz movement is accurate enough to help keep you on time for all your appointments My Invicta Mens 1435 Russian Diver Watch with Swiss quartz movement gains 11 seconds a month, or roughly 1/3 of a second a day. - Well-Packaged Like all Invicta watches, this one comes *very* well protected in a yellow faux leather case, which is itself enclosed in a very sturdy cardboard box. The watch face, the sides, and the back of the watch are all covered with protective wrap. The lavish packaging makes this watch ideal as a gift. - Odorific A common complaint is that the watch strap yields a strong smell that many people find offensive. However, like my Invicta Mens 1435 Russian Diver Watch, the smell should gradually diminish and eventually cease over time. [Update 3/11/2012: The watch gained 22 seconds from 12/24/2011 the date this review was written to 3/11/2012 the date Daylight Saving Time began.] --- The Invicta Mens 1911 Specialty Collection Swiss Quartz Watch not only makes a valuable addition to your wardrobe, it is a high quality timepiece thats practical for the outdoors or for everyday wear. At a fraction of the cost of most other Invicta timepieces, this ones a good value for money.
Budget Watch Thats Perfect For The Outdoors Or For Everyday Wear  2012-04-07 16:18:12

One never knows what they are going to get over the Internet when it comes to watches and shoes. This Invicta 1911 is big, almost as tall as my wrist is wide and no, Im not a big fat guy. Even though the descriptions mentioned it was big I found it larger then expected. I feel like Im wearing a clock on my wrist and I thought my Fossil watch was big. Its heavy but not to the point of bothering me. The face is bold and extremely easy to read, so much so no one will ever ask you the time again because from anywhere in the room theyll be able to read it themselves. The numbers and hands glow in the dark well which is good because there is no light no calendar either. When looking closely youll notice the numbers are raised and so is the ring of second digits. The second hand clicks to each second. The band is thick and appears strong. I like the stem at an angle, not because its easier to use but because it looks nice. The entire watch is black except for the numbers, second digits and hands. The second hand looks silver but its so thin I can tell. Hopefully the cases finish will not scratch down to the metal. So far the time has remained accurate. The watch comes nicely packaged so it looks good as a gift. The smell some have complained about smells to me like lemon furniture polish. Im sure in a short time the smell will go away. Some have complained its a poor dive watch. In my opinion if you buy this to go diving you best stay out of the water before you get yourself killed. This is not a real dive watch. The bevel is more for looks and timing land-lubber events. Invicta makes real dive watches so check them out. Youll be spending quit a bit more money for a real dive watch as well you should. Amazons price is excellent for such a nice quality watch with Swiss movement. Overall Im very impressed with the quality of this watch. Great for those with presbyopia. Highly recommended.

    1.  Nice BIG watch
This watch is very nice. But it is huge! Just bought as a casual watch for work, but not sure if its for actual scuba diving. It seems very durable cause I always end up swinging my wrist into a door or wall. Wrist band is a very nice thick black rubber strap. Got it super cheap here for $90.

    User Reviews
This watch is really nice. Our only complaint is that the band seems kind of cheap. It is made of a light weight plastic material and the clasp comes undone real easily. Everything else about the watch is nice - it keeps good time and it looks great, too!

TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY  2012-04-07 14:20:26
    ____________________________________________________________________________
The body of this watch is made entirely of plastic except for a metal clasp, dial, and case backing. This makes the watch extremely lightweight. It feels and looks like a toy. The band links have a matte center with glossy edges. I will admit, I was initially put off by the look and feel but my wife loved it. After watching the way she wears it, I now see why she loves it. When the watch is accessorized properly, it looks great. Also, on the arm, it doesn look as fragile as it feels. It has a charm and personality all of its own. Its a curious looking watch on close inspection, but I can honestly say, it looks great on my wife. I don necessarily recommend wearing it with a glamourous evening gown, but with a nice casual outfit and the right accessories, this watch can look pretty sharp. Its really up to your particular sense of fashion. It uses an inexpensive Ronda quartz movement, so I seriously doubt some precision engineering marvel is under the hood to warrant the 10X MSRP that is listed. Despite being so lightweight, it surprisingly doesn feel overly fragile, like it will easily crack or break. Its also water resistant up to 30 meters. I should mention, its a larger sized watch, larger than even some of my mens watches. One curious feature is that only one little dot at the 12 oclock position on the bezel glows in the dark. Other than knowing where the watch is in the dark, its not much more use. One last thing worth mentioning is the fact that Invicta extends the warranty to five years if you register the watch on their web site.

This is a very pretty all white watch with silvertone accents. The band & case are white plastic. Its very comfortable on. I have had it about a week . I like it because it is very easy to read without my glasses; The numbers and the hands are large .It is also water resistant which is another plus & has a date window which helps me as I lose track very easily. All in all it is a very comfortable and functional watch. Its also very lightweight and not clunky. It keeps time great !!Worth every penny !!!

big but not heavy  2012-04-07 14:19:44

Im not a watch person. I try to be constantly, but I usually find that they annoy me. I don like something heavy sitting on my wrist and the light ones usually end up so scratched up from me running into desks that I can read them after a few days. Ive gone through several watches and give up usually after a week or two. This watch, I have had the pleasure of wearing for a little while now. Here are the positives: 1. Extremely light weight 2. Pretty tough, few scratches, but holding up really well. 3. My high school students love the design, so it is standing up with the cool factor that teenagers weigh things against. 4. Easy to read! Here is the only negative I have: 1. The face is huge compared to the rest of the design. I understand that large watches are in right now, but I feel like the band should be larger to match the face.

I have another Invicta watch that is awesome so I thought Id try another more modern looking watch. For the price this cant be beat. Saw a friends Fossil white watch and adored it. This was 1/2 the price so I gave it a try. It has a large face, and wide band. You can have it adjusted or buy the sizing tool from amazon. ITs lightweight comfortable and have received lots of compliments on it . I wear it to do housework, yardwork and wash dishes. Its waterproof and so far scratch resistant. Can not say how much I love it for less than 45.00 you can beat it.

    Customer Reviews

    Absolutely love it

Another watch that follows the trend of big watches, the 1512 has a casual and kind of an elegant look at the same time, which is great as I can use it for work (on a business casual dress code) or during the weekends when I normally wear jeans and more casual clothes.

Same as the 1430 line, it does have a stop watch function and can also be used as a tachymeter. The crowns to set it up are on the left side rather than the right, which is where they are normally located. Included in the box is a set of instructions on how to use all features. The second hand is red while the hour and minute hands are white, which makes a good combination and adds to the look on the face of the clock.

Contrary to what you may expect, it is not as heavy as it looks and the band is quite comfortable. Important to note that the band is fabric on the front side and leather on the back, I added a couple pictures as this is not that clear in the Amazon product description photos.

As my other Invicta watches, it is precise and I have had no issues whatsoever. I am so excited with this new watch that I have been practically using it on a daily basis; from my watch collection, I have to say the Invictas are my favorites. They are well made, look great and trendy, and overall, perform as expected.

Highly recommended if you are into big watches.

    stunning

This is hands down the most awesome and beautiful watch I own. It's heavy, thick and well constructed with clean lines and a well thought out design. Stopwatch functionality and control is excellent. The stock band is comfortable and well made, thou i'll likely be swapping it out with a custom leather band later to better suit my own personal taste. Love the oversized design and the watch face detail. My wife remarked this weekend, "If you ever get mugged you can always hit someone with it." :)

Very happy with the Invicta 1512

liked it so much that he ordered one for himself the same day******

Chose this timepiece for my husband who is a federal law enforcement officer. It is a large heavy watch, has a tactical appearance and goes well with his uniform.

Husband consistently receives compliments on the timepiece and his only non positive comment was about the strap, he did not think that it would last long but it was ok for now.

It is easy to read at a glance in all conditions and the feedback from other officers was all very positive.

Obviously a well made heavy duty quality timepiece and we are very satisfied. Highly recommend!!

    Invicta does it right

Awesome watch. Reverse crown is great. Chrono works wonderfully. The case size isn't too big despite some reviews here, it's large, but it doesn't scream "look at me". Excellent build quality, this piece will last. The face is not jet black as it appears in the photos, I would say it is more of a 90% matte grey, which actually looks even better. The band is canvas, looks great and is very comfortable. Will easily go from casual to formal wear, I'll be wearing this one everywhere. 100% happy. Oh, and it arrived in 2 days with standard shipping. Amazing.

One of the Best Overall Looking Watches That Invicta

Bold statement in the heading? I do not think so because, for my taste, this is one of the better looking casual watches I have picked up. Let's start with what is so appealing about the 1512 at face-value.

The size of the head is over-sized to a point, but not obnoxiously so--it is about 1 3/4" across, or about 4 1/2cm. Invicta makes a lot of over-sized heads, but a lot of those come with bulky bezels, or cases. This Force feels like it needs to be over-sized. It does not look odd, in fact; it feels perfectly appropriate. Everything flows together so that it should be displayed at a larger-than-normal size, for they need to be seen. The Force does not draw attention based on any contriving attempts at being ostentatious, but merely because everything as packaged makes for a very fine, and eloquent, looking time piece resting on your wrist.

From the band to the crown, everything about this watch is smooth and effortless. The band is one part genuine leather--bottom--and another part cloth--the top--. Though you do not have the flash that a metal band will you give you, the cloth/leather band will give you light weight and freedom of motion that a oyster or jubilee would not. There are always sacrifices. However, the sacrifice here is not as great as going from this band to a common metal, for, even though the band is part cloth, you could wear this with a suit and still be in your rights, and wits, to do so. Seamlessly go from beach/boat watch to the evening's time-teller.

I will say, though, that the cloth band is prone to eventually discolor--in this case it would become less black--and become more stiff when exposed to water, or staining. Because this is cloth, though, maybe it could be hand-washed back to good shape.

The lugs are interesting. Where most lugs are flush with the case, this one protrudes down and curves. When free-handling the watch you can tell a big difference , as if you have never noticed them before on other watches. It is interesting in a good sense, and seems to curve, and *hold*, onto your wrist more. It does not bring any discomfort, but is unique to this model as comparing to many other common watches. To give you an idea of what it looks like, picture viewing the watch face down dial-side up on a table looking at it from the side. The lugs curve down so that they actually hold up the watch and do no allow it to be flat, or flush on the table. On your wrist, however, they curve around your wrist and the backplate is flush as it should be.

There are many details of this watch that are really surprising that I like, and the backplate, of all things, is not an exception. The back is embossed, so that you can really feel the lettering. Also it has a matte, brushed metal, appearance and feel. Because I like things that are great with potential wear, I think the addition of the matte backing is exceptional.

As you can see from the look of the dial, you either like it or you do not. Personally, I prefer everything that was chosen about this watch from the color of the second hand to the lettering around the bezel. It all fits together and feels like a light, airy, boating watch. It has a subtly classic look. Though this does have the usual very high Invicta 'MSRP', the current pricing on this equates to a very good return on your money. It is certainly worth it.

You know what the face of the watch looks like. You can see the pictures posted covering many of the angles. If you like the look, I absolutely recommend buying it because; it only gets better.

Another watch in this line that is also a stunner, and has a white dial, is the 1514. Search 'B005FMZX9Q' in the amazon search bar.

    Invicta 1512 Watch

This is a beautiful watch, it arrived on time, and I am very happy with it. Blah, blah, blah, blah.

    Excelent watch all around

Love the watch it is great, getting complements on it already, im so happy i purchased it, great price, looks durable, very stylish, it is big! which is great, fast shipping from lasershipping, excelent product all around. very satisfied would definately by another invicta watch

    Big Awesome watch

Great watch for those who look for a big imponent dial...it looks rude and sturdy, catch everyone's attention 100% recommended

    Easy to Read

Opening the box, It looked too big. After setting and wearing it a bit, I love it. I can read it without glasses (20/50 vision with bi-focals), and in little (no!) light. The chrono is small dials, all marked, useful but not good for event timing, etc. I love the 1/10 sec readout. Overall, it has become my fav daily wearer. In price, worth every dime.

    totally recommended

Hello, my review for this watch is this: its a really good time piece, of course it is big, but i think it is one of the advantages among others, big numbers, 60 minutes chronograph, it does all i want i a wrist watch; since the first day i wore it people started to asked about it, and one last thing remember to apply for the five year warranty in invictas web page, see you.

From Case To Wrist, the Invicta is Not Subtle on its Extravagance
It is not necessarily good to talk about price in a review unless spending an amount that overlaps the quality is present. As of right now this Invicta watch is under 100$ and 'says' it retails for 575$. Any company can represent their product with any number, though; if you are not careful that 575$ MSRP will make you think you are getting a 575$ watch. The Invicta comes close, I will say. At the present price of sub-100$, and if you like the look, this is a must buy. Not only does this watch feel that it was crafted with quality--which is rare I find now-a-days--it manages to strut its way into the fashion category while also being able to run into sports functionality.

Starting with the craftmanship--though I cannot tell you how well the inside is made because frankly, my hands are too big to be prying under the carriage here--the watch is on the heavy side with a very solid Stainless Steel plate (in my case, Gold Plated)***Stainless Steel is prone to turn darker if not cleaned a few times annually***. Also, there are many varieties with this particular watch: Gold, Black, Silver Plate and White or Black Dials so that you are not stuck with mine.

Under the specifications listed on Amazon's webpage it says that the band is Leather, Synthetic but on the watch band itself it reads 'Genuine Leather'. Furthermore, the feeling on the band does feel and look like Gin-You-Ine leather. The watch does take the current trend of oversized watch with this one being a bigger than average wrist watch. To give you an idea of the size, the diameter of the dial is 1 3/4 inch across or 4.5 centimeters. I have seen very large so that it is just obnoxious, and pleasantly aggrandized. The Invicta falls in with the latter. Do not be too timid if you are worrying about the size. It's not that bad.
***The band is black with fairly thick, white stitching vertically down the 2 straps, and a few of my stitches looked marked with a black color such that they looked a little dirty. Probably just mine.***
This is a Chronograph watch. That means this has the usual moving Minute, Hour, and Second (Step Elapse, not Smooth--Like the Rolex) hands while also showing the Date: DD, and containing 3 subdials:
1 and 2: Function as a stopwatch with 1 showing the minutes passed, and 2 showing seconds passed. These can be started and stopped with a side button and reset with one button as well.
3: shows the proper hour as corresponding to the time of day e.g. a.m. or p.m. represented in a 24-hr format. For example, it is 9 o clock on the watch, but is it a.m. or p.m.? The Subdial hand will either be on the 21-hr mark to represent p.m. or 9-hr mark to show a.m.
The actual typeface of the numbers on the watch are what I would describe as being more adolescent, modern, and young than eloquent and traditional. Keep this mind if you are older and used to a certain low key, and classic number type on your dials.
With the Invicta Chronograph, there is little to not be impressed by. For the price, you are getting quality. For the look you are getting a perfectly depicted modern timepiece--one that is loud, but reserved, and cocky enough to be unabashed without being repugnant. If this was not enough, how about a watch that you can wear with a two-button suit or a wetsuit without worrying about it dulling the look of formal wear or putting too much polish on the blue collar; Yes...it has versatility too.

    Invicta Watch
I was very pleased to receive this watch. It arrived in it's own luxurious gift box. Paperwork that came with it showed how to set the watch component and the different timing function in clear, easy to understand language. I'm so tired of purchasing items that only have one or two lines of script to tell you what to do with the item or how to make it work. Invicta has certainly gone to some effort with their watches and instructions. Best yet, the numbers on the dial 3-6-9-12 are all large enough to see without squinting. As it is waterproof to 100 meters I think this means you don't have to be afraid if you forget to remove it before showering
Awesome Black Dial Leather Chronograph Timepiece

This is a very impressive black dial leather chronograph timepiece! The construction of the Invicta 1429 is the finest I have ever seen. I can truly say that this is the finest watch I have ever owned.
The housing is made from a generous quantity of gold tinted stainless steel with crown gaskets which maintain water resistance to 100 meters. The watch is huge and not for boys - as it is truly a man's watch. This is not a tiny thin Timex watch. Wearing it you feel you are wearing your money's worth in metal alone. If the watch is exposed to light for 4 to 5 hours it will glow brightly in the dark due to "tritnite" material used to illuminate the face markers of the watch face. This quartz watch is powered by a battery that not only powers the second, minute and hour hands (and date) but also subdials - hence its chronograph features. The jury is out on the life of the battery. On the left is a stopwatch minute sub-dial with hand movement in minutes. On the face bottom is the stopwatch second subdial with hand movement in seconds. To the right is a 24 hour subdial with a hand that indicates the time on a 24 hour basis (which will make the vets happy). There is also an inconspicuous date display to let you know the day of the month (but you will have to figure out on your own what month and year it is :)). The strap provided on the Invicta 1429 is a sturdy white stitch on black leather of good quality. The strap is a bit stiff but like most leather items approximately 1/8 inch thickness it will take some time to break in - like a new pair of leather boots. The strap matches the gargantuan feel of the timepiece.

All in all this is the finest watch I have ever owned. It is simply beautiful and at the same time elegant in fit, finish and construction. It is worth much more than it is priced on Amazon. I highly recommend this watch to any "man" (not for boys). You will thank me when you put it on. It can be worn with casual clothes, but becomes a topic of conversation when worn with your black tux and white tie.

The perfect watch for a racing enthusiast
I love a good watch and I have a fair-sized collection of them, however, mine are all mechanical watches, the kind that need to be wound. This watch appealed to me for a few reasons:
    * It's BIG - Large watches are all the rage now and I didn't have any that were near this size.
    * It looks sporty - The watches in my collection are all dress watches and this one is more for the sportsman.
    * It's complicated - The features on a watch such as the day, date, moon phases, etc. are referred to as "complications." They are usually expensive when offered on a mechanical watch but are common and affordable on quartz models such as this one.
    * It's accurate - Although I love the aesthetics of a mechanical watch the truth is that quartz watches are usually much more accurate.
The Invicta 1513 I Force did not disappoint. The face is a brilliant, almost iridescent blue. The large buttons make it easy to control the stop-watch features. I like having date feature instead of the day (I have always thought that if you don't know what day it is you don't really need a watch.)
Speaking of the stop watch features; this watch has separate dials for tenths of a second, seconds, and minutes. This would really come in handy if someone was a track coach or an auto racer. All in all a nice, practical watch at a very affordable price.

    Nice watch for lefties
I'm not used to the currently stylish BIG watches, but this one looks very nice. The actual face of the watch measures 1.75" across, 2" if you include the button on the side. The face is a nice dark blue and black color, and the band is lined with soft leather on the inside and black cloth fabric on the outside which gives it a more casual look. There are a lot of adjustment holes and they're spaced pretty close together so you can comfortably adjust the fit on your wrist. The chronograph (stop watch) functions are easy to use (for when my kids want to know how fast they've ridden their bikes around the block or how long they hold their breath underwater!) and have dials for 10ths of a second, seconds, and minutes. The only thing I find a little awkward is the placing of the date, which is on an angle and by the 4 instead of the 3, but I'm getting used to it. The date can be adjusted by pulling the center dial out one click instead of having to move the watch hands all the way around like some watches. In all, this is a very nice looking watch (and yes, it really does come in a bright yellow box).

    This Lefty Loves this Watch
I'm an old left handed fisherman who for years has worn his watch face up on his right wrist and I've had the gamut of watches in my time from Timex to Rolex and a couple of counterfeit Rolexes (which I bought from a guy with a street stand infront of the real Rolex store in Bangkok).

I've still got `em all and until now, I've been wearing the very expensive Rolex, because I figure at my age, I should wear the best until I die. But then I got this, a watch that caters to lefties. Wow, what a concept. And it's a couple thousand dollars less than my Rolex.

True the hand doesn't sweep like my Rolex, but the watch is gorgeous and for the month that I've been wearing it, I've not seen one like it on anybody else. And it's as tough as the Rolex, I know, because it's been to a couple fishing holes with me. It doesn't care if it gets wet. It tells perfect time and I've been wanting a new camera, an expensive one. I'm thinking I'll be selling the Rolex to finance it.

What? you say, sell a Rolex in favor of this relatively inexpensive watch from Invicta. Well, you know, almost everyday I see someone with a Rolex. It's almost like a secret brotherhood, I see one on a guy's wrist as he sees mine on me and we sort of subconsciously nod and move on. But as I said, I've never seen anybody with one of these. Yeah, maybe the Rolex might be a better watch, but I'm betting this Invicta will last till I've caught my fish and that's plenty good enough for me.

Besides, this just looks like the kind of watch a fisherman should be wearing.

    Beautiful and Sturdy
This Invicta Men's watch is fantastic!! Finally a watch designed with a left handed person in mind!! The dials are on the "right" side for a change.

I really like the design of the Invicta too. The watch face really pops, and is very easy to read. I like too that it comes with a durable cloth strap, as opposed to one of those arm-hair grabbing metal bands. The 1513 I Force is really an eye-catcher. I've gotten so many compliments wearing this out and about. As an added bonus, the purple color fits in perfectly when sporting my Baltimore Ravens jerseys during "Purple Fridays".

The I Force must be a pretty tough watch as well. The UPS driver dropped this off at my house the week before Christmas. For some reason he placed it behind the snow shovels, and a rake I keep by my side door. I didn't even realize the watch had arrived until I was taking down my Christmas decorations on New Year's Day. That means the Invicta was sitting outside in near zero temps with rain and snow for over a week. I popped it out of the box and it was ticking along just fine, and showing the correct time right out of the packaging.
A solid, sturdy and beautiful timepiece, highly recommended.

    Just beautiful, lots of features
As my video shows, this is a well made, handsome watch. I hope it shows how nice this watch is. Great for anyone interested in flying, or simply needing an easy to read watch. Family owned company with a quality product.
Been wearing for over a month, keeps perfect time and all functions are GO. I wanted to add this because some reviews of Invicta indicate they stopped keeping time. If this watch has an issue, I will update again, but so far I am very happy.

    Great buy
This watch is fenomenal!!! Worth every penny, I am a lefty and my love for watches just went up the roof. Love every detail of it

An impressive display of marksmanship and quality
Some of you may be wondering whether INVICTA is a Swiss made watch. Let's not beat around the bush here. INVICTA is an American company that doesn't make its watches in Switzerland (possibly in Asia). Having said that, the quality of these watches is very high and I am very proud of my choice of INVICTA #1513 model.
The watch comes in a very impressive box, which if you are considering gifting it, makes a very good impression. Inside the box, the watch hugs a little pillow - similar to the way my Raymond Weil came.
The size of the watch is optimized enough to get other people's attention. I was asked several times what is the type of the watch and my hand attracted enough eyeing from my peers during meetings, or other events.
The watch is water resistant and the numbers and hands glow in the dark, so you won't wonder in the middle of the night what time it is. The chronograph works perfectly. It tracks to the 1/10th of a second, the second, and the minutes.
Overall, great value for the cost. I highly recommend it.

    Big Watch
This is a big watch. I just opened my Christmas early! I couldn't be more satisfied with the aesthetics of this big piece of jewelry, yes this is more than a watch. I haven't owned this watch very long to determine the performance or durability but everything works great. It has some weight which may indicate quality materials. I have the black strap with leather backing and silver case with blue dial...so hard. This is a mans man watch.

Great Looking, Solid Men's Watch for Lefties
This is a BIG watch that comes in a very nice bright yellow box with instruction manual and warranty.
It measures 1.75 inches in diameter, 2 inches if you include the crown. It weighs 3.5 ounces and also is 1/2 inch thick. The thickness makes it tough to fit under the cuff of a dress shirt but this is a casual/sport watch and not designed with that in mind.
I like the black cloth strap with leather stitched to the underside. I just wish the strap was a little bigger for my husband. His wrist measures about 8 inches in circumference and has only 2 holes left on the band. When summer hits, he'll probably need the remaining holes in order for the watch to fit comfortably.
The blue face with white numbers makes it easy to read the time. It glows in the dark after being exposed to light for a few minutes.
The 3 subdials measure minutes, seconds, and 1/10 seconds as part of the stopwatch feature. However, it is a little tough to read the subdials due to their size.
Great watch overall and made well with a leftie in mind. Definitely worth the price.

    Watch 5 star, band 3 star...at best
Beautiful watch face...I thought it may be too big but actually it is just fine...I've already gotten a few compliments on the watch and I've only had it a week or so. While the watch band is comfortable, unfortunately the material on the outside of the band is black fabric and has already shown signs of wear after only wearing the watch for a few days. The inside of the watch band is leather, and comfortable on my wrist. But I can already tell that that the band is going to need to be replaced sooner than later as the watch band holes already are fraying...My better half says that the watch band looks so inferior to the watch itself. I hate to say this, but...she is right. (there, I said it!)

    Leftie Relief
The joy of having a watch on the right arm with the control buttons easily accessible! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
This watch is for a large man with large hands. It does not look so good on a man (even if he is large)with smaller hands.
The one negative comment is that the band is too narrow. It is a simple cloth strap. Perhaps Invicta expects that customers will want to pick the band that best suits their lifestyles.

    5 stars but
A great watch. All the features and functions I wanted, but the watch band is awful cheap and looks the same. If you buy this watch plan to spend extra $ buying a decent watch band.

    Nice Watch
Good looking semi expensive looking watch. Casual yet classy at the same time. Kind of nautical looking, would be good for a gift. Has all kinds of neat little features on it and some kind of lunar thing with the moon. Some reviewers complained about the smell, I didn't find the smell to be offensive, it came in a nice looking yellow leather case and smelled it smelled pretty clean to me. If you're looking for a good gift or just a nice watch in general I'd buy it. 4.5 stars

  • Invicta Men s 9937OB Pro Diver Collection Coin Edge Swiss Automatic Watch

    Posted: 2012-02-06 21:34:39 UTC-08:00

    Product Feature
    1. Quality Swiss Automatic movement; functions without a battery; powers automatically with the movement of your arm
    2. Durable flame-fusion crystal; stainless steel case and band
    3. Exhibition case Back; magnified date Window
    4. Luminous hands and Markers
    5. Water-resistant to 660 feet (200 M)

    Editorial Reviews
A clean black dial distinguishes this durable, dark-hued Invicta Men s Pro Diver Collection Coin-Edge Swiss Automatic Watch. A polished stainless steel band joins to a durable stainless steel case that s topped by a black, ion-coated, unidirectional coin-edge bezel that is imprinted with white indexes and Arabic numeral minute indicators in increments of 10. The striking black dial is protected by a scratch-resistant, sapphire-coated window, showcasing luminescent geometric hour indicators that complement luminescent, silver-tone hands. Small white minute markers and a date window at the three o clock position complete the look of the visually appealing dial. This Swiss-automatic diving watch is water resistant to an impressive 660 feet (200 M) and is presented in a yellow Invicta gift box along with a buffing cloth.

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

    Automatic Watches
Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.
Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They re considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

    Customer Reviews
Great product, but the lower-end ones may be the one for you
This watch is very good for 300 dollars. It resembles the Rolex Submariner very closely. It is very sturdy and heavy and I love it a lot.

The band of this watch feels sturdy and heavy. It is huge! The links are big. The center links are polished which gives it a more fancier look. It is a scratch magnet if you're not careful, but you can always polish it down again. Or you can brush it down to give it a more Submariner look.
When I first saw the back of this watch, it was incredible. I've never seen a Swiss automatic movement in person before, although it's through the crystal, it's beautiful! It's fun talking to my dad about the back of this watch and it's movement. I told him "You can see right there it says 26 jewels Swiss Made on the mechanism." Although on the crystal, it says Swiss Movement. That's because the movement itself is Swiss Made, but the watch itself isn't. But to me that's all the same! Swiss Made or Swiss Movement, it has a Swiss Made movement and that's all it matters for it to be Swiss to me!

This watch certainly looks a lot more pricier than it is. It also keeps time very nicely, I don't know how many seconds it gains or loses because I don't care much for that stuff. All I know is that it keeps time correctly and that's all it matters. The most beautiful part of this watch in my opinion is the second hand. You can clearly see that it flows very smoothly. That's called a sweeping motion and that's what the Rolex Submariner has! My dad owns a Submariner and I compared them both together and the movements are equilibrium!
To an untrained eye and to someone who does not know much of watches at all, they will surely confuse this watch with a Submariner. They look so much alike! The bezel, hands, dial, crown, diameter, etc. Everything is so the same style. This watch also uses a sapphire crystal like high end watches do.

The only issue I have with this watch is that Invicta has numerous watches that have the exact same style as the 9937OB but for lesser price using cheaper materials. It's not the problem though, the problem is that people confuse my 9937 with the lower end models because they don't know about this model because they only sell the lower end ones at Costco for 50 dollars and 100 dollars.

My dad came home from Costco the other night and said "You know what? You got ripped off for 300 dollars, I saw this watch on Costco for only 100 dollars." I was like WHAT DID YOU SAY? NOOO! I had to give him a deep brief explanation of how this is different because it's Swiss Automatic, it beats at 28,800 BPH, with a sweeping motion second hand, etc. etc.

If you don't care about what people think of you, this watch is well worth the price. But it's not worth it if you only care for the watches looks, you might as well go with the lower-end 5017 or 8926. Why spend the extra few hundred bucks for something that looks the same?
Here are the differences between the low-end 8926 and the high-end 9937.
The 9937 uses a high-end sapphire crystal while the 8926 uses the mid-end mineral crystal. The 9937 has a larger cyclops (Magnification Bubble) than the 8926, which allows it to resemble more closely to the Rolex Submariner.

One of the largest differences are the movements. The 8926 uses a Japanese Miyota movement which is used in Citizen automatics. The Miyota is not bad at all! It's really good, it just doesn't compare with the Swiss Sellita SW200 movement used in the 9937. The differences in the movements are the 9937 has a 28,800 BPH compared to the 8926 that beats at 21,600. Now what does this mean? Sweeping second hand motion! That's right, the 28,800 will move at 8 increments per second compared to 6 per second on the 21,600. That means the 9937 will tick smoother and because it beats at the same rate as a Submariner at 28,800. The second hand ticking will be nearly the same! While the 21,600 will be a bit rougher.

The 8926 will also have a cheaper bracelet, the 9937 uses a very strong sturdy bracelet that weighs a MEGATON! The end links on the 9937 also doesn't fold like the 8926 does. Because of this, another closer resemblance with the 9937 to the Rolex Submariner.
The 9937 uses a slightly smaller minute hand than the 8926. The 8926 uses a minute hand that is the size of a Rolex 50th anniversary Submariner while the 9937 uses a regular sized one.
Now another difference again is that the 9937 will say Swiss Movement on the bottom of the dial, while on the 8926 it will say Japan Movement.

Although there may be some more differences between them, this is all I can think up at the moment!
So for the conclusion? I am very happy with this watch, it is just monstrous for the pricing. Do I recommend it? It depends. If you don't care much about watches at all and don't care about the differences I provided for the price differential and would rather save money. Then I would say go with the 8926, but if you do care and you love watches then hey! Save the money and get the 9937! It's well worth it

    Class Act
I am a novice watch collector, however I have one major rule - the watch must be below $500. This is not only because I am not Mr. Deep Pockets, but also I have issues with spending money. You could say I am a VALUE novice watch collector.

I have been wanting a Sub-mariner watch for some time, sure the Rolex is the CROWN (king of the hill) - but to meet my rule ($500) - it would seem that Rolex is not going to make the cut. There are many Sub-mariner look-alikes.

Now comes the value - it's not just about looks, it's about substance. Sure - the Invicta 8926 or other similar watches have the looks, but what about the substance.
Think about this - Rolex is more than just looks, the name equates to quality and substance. From the movement, crystal, to workmanship.
My goal was to find a Sub-mariner - that HAD the Rolex QUALITY! Finding the looks was easy, finding the quality - well that was the hard thing to do.
After doing tons of research - Invicta 9937 not only had the looks - but the quality for the price is very surprising.

    Let's break it down.

    1. Movement (9937 - Swiss Movement) - many people don't even think about movements, they are just interested in the looks - there is nothing wrong with that, but there is a difference. Many Sub-mariner look-a-likes run on Quartz (battery operated) - there are some excellent quartz movements out there, but this review is about findings a watch that meets the standards of the Sub-mariner (of which Rolex has set the stage).
First, the watch is an automatic (traditionally watches come in 3 varieties - hand wind, automatic, and quartz) - the Sub-mariner is a traditional automatic (or self-winding watch). The movement in the 9937 is a 26 jewel ETA 2824, a popular Swiss movement in many high-end Swiss made watches. For the 9937 to have such a movement at the cost is a darn good deal. The second hand moves in a quick-ticking fashion. If you have ever seen a Japanese automatic movement, while very nice - they seem to make a more jerky beat - this is because they have fewer beats per second, not that it is bad - but it is noticeable. The Invicta 8926 uses the Japanese movement - if you look at them side-by-side you notice the difference, which is seen by the movement of the second hand.

    2. Crystal - the 9937 uses a Sapphire crystal, rather than hardened mineral crystal. This is another big treat which you would only find on the high-end Sub-mariner watches by Tag, Rolex, or Omega. The use of a sapphire crystal is almost scratch resistance compared to hardened mineral. Additionally the raised Cyclops magnifier is no small affair - it stands prominent at the 3 o'clock marker over the date.
    3. FACE /BEZEL - if you are looking for the Rolex Sub-mariner - this is as close as it gets. The hour markers are raised has silver surrounds around the luminescent markers - this separates the 9937 from many other imitators that just paint in the luminescent and shows an extra thought in the production. Of course the Invicta wing logo appears and the second hand has the Invicta logo at one end. Invicta - while making their own version of the sub-mariner has no problem showing off their product with pride. So that does reflect a difference - but a positive one in my book. Additionally - Swiss Movement is written along the bottom to indicate that it's ticking with real Swiss precision - not just any movement. The bezel insert only has the minute hash marks for the first 10 minutes - something also more distinctive with the sub-mariner line. The numbers are done in the traditional block fashion. The serrations on the bezel are not as sharp as the Rolex version - but are found in this model. Note - many imitators use a scalloped edge instead of serration. Again - the 9937 pays homage to the sub-mariner.

    4. CASE - the case on this watch is thick and heavy - it's solid, with a combination of brushed and polish. But what really stands out - more so than even the Rolex, is the clear back on the watch - you can see the movement and engraved INVICTA in the weight that moves (to automatically wind the watch). The back is a class act affair. It is stamped "Pro-Diver 200 Meters", "Sapphire Crystal", "Stainless Steel 316L", " Swiss Movement", "Invicta", "Model 9937" - inside the clear case it is stamped 26 jewel Swiss made. There is no doubt the pride they took in making a solid watch front to back.

    5. Bracelet - Here is where the Invicta actually surpasses the Rolex it pay homage too. The bracelet seems more solid and heavier than the Rolex. Granted I don't own a Rolex, but have tried them on and compared them - so this is just an observation. You FEEL this bracelet and it's solid. The clasp is SOLID stainless steel - not a pressed-stamped out clasp. It's very nice.

    So what do you get?
For just over $300 you get a very solid watch, sapphire crystal, Swiss movement, solid stainless steel construction and bracelet. The Invicta 8926 is nice (for $100) it has the looks - but not the quality. You know you are wearing this watch.

Rolex ($5000 plus) - Their own movement, Sapphire Crystal, Stainless Steel.
Invicta 9937 ($300) - Swiss ETA movement, Sapphire Crystal, Stainless Steel, Clear Back, Solid Bracelet.
Invicta 8926 ($100) - Japanese movement, Mineral Crystal, Stainless - stamped bracelet.
I took it to our local jeweler - who caries Tag, Rolex, Omega, etc. for resizing of the bracelet. He gave it back to me and asked what I paid for it. I said it was a gift - but it was a little over $300. He said that it was easily a $1500 watch and would give his Tag, Rolex, or Omega a solid run for the money. He winked and said - don't tell anyone about it - because it will hurt my business. If that doesn't tell you this is a steal for the price - I don't know what does.

All the looks and quality at a fraction of the cost
After recently rekindling my passion for watches, I started looking into a category of watches known as "homage watches" as an affordable alternative to capture the look of the high priced name brand watches I desire without paying that kind of money. I was excited to see that Invicta makes a couple of different versions of homage watch to the popular Rolex Submariner. Since all of my watches are beat up, I convinced my wife that a good birthday gift for me would be an Invicta professional diver - I was thinking the less expensive 8926C model. Imagine my surprise when not only did she get me one, but she got me the 9937OB with the Swiss movement, the upgraded bracelet, the sapphire crystal and the coin edge bezel. (as compared to the Japanese Miyota movement and mineral glass crystal in the model 8926.)
For starters, this watch looks absolutely wonderful and from 10 feet, it would be hard to distinguish it from the real McCoy. In fact, I did a side-by-side comparison with a friend of mine who owns a genuine Rolex Sub, and they are so close in appearance that it's scary. Of course I have no doubt that his is higher quality, but then again, he paid about 10x what I paid, so I would hope his is higher quality - all of that money had to go somewhere, right? However, the goal has been met - I wear a Swiss automatic (movement) watch that looks and feels like something much more expensive.

My watch contains the Sellita SW200 26-jewel movement. From what I have read this movement is a copy of the 25-jewel ETA 2824-2 movement (28,800 beats per hour) that is the base movement used in so many Swiss watches such as Tag and Omega, and what was originally used for the Invicta 9937. Watching the movement tick away through the display back is a real treat. It is a gold plated movement with a blued steel rotor for contrast.

The lume on this watch is adequate - not bright, but not dull either. The lume is bright enough to read although the minute hand could show up a bit better. This isn't the fault of the lume, but rather the fact that the hand is so thin.

The dial is perfect - nothing remarkable about it - it's a good black shade, the hour markers are right where they should be and it's on straight. It's poetry in its simplicity.
The bezel is also good - I don't know what the inlay is made of but it's hard enough that it hasn't scratched. Then again, I haven't owned the watch that long. It has 120 definite clicks for a full rotation (unidirectional) and it lines up perfectly with the dial.

The bracelet is solid, and thicker than the bracelet on that "other" name brand watch my friend owns - I would have like screws rather than pins for adjustment, but it was easy enough to adjust myself with nothing more than a push pin and a pair of needle nose pliers. It also doesn't have a diver's extension. Some people complain about this, but since I don't own a wetsuit and am not a diver, that's not really a concern of mine. The bright polished center links of the bracelet offer a nice contrast with the brushed outer links when you take the time to look at it, but the contrast is not so much that it makes the watch look "blingy" and in fact, unless you look, it's not really noticed, but it is a nice touch when you do.

The last point I'd like to mention is accuracy. Mine has run +15 seconds a day for the two weeks I have owned it and it has been consistent in that number. I have read that an automatic movement needs about 8 weeks of constant wear before it will settle and that it should slow down after the break-in period. On one hand I want and expect better from a Swiss movement. On the other hand, when you consider that there are 86,400 seconds in a day, even being off by 15 seconds it's still 99.9998237% accurate. If I'm not within 5-6 seconds per day after the break-in period I'll have it adjusted by a watchmaker, so I can live with it being +15 seconds for now. I have a feeling that if I do get it adjusted that it can be adjusted to within 2-3 seconds and it will be consistent to that for the life of the watch, which hopefully is considerable. The way I see it, even though it runs just a touch fast, I know it can be adjusted and the key factor is that it has been very consistent, so once it is adjusted, it will be consistent to the best accuracy it is capable of. As a side note, if utmost accuracy is your goal, don't buy an automatic mechanical watch - get a watch with a quartz movement.

So now we come to the crux of the review: given the chance for a do-over, would I still want this watch. Without a doubt, the answer is "yes." There is a definite look and feel of quality to this watch and it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. The name "Invicta" is displayed proudly on the dial and is engraved into the side of the case. In any case, if someone happens to ask me the question, "is that a Rolex?" I won't hesitate to say, "why no it isn't," right before I explain to them that it contains a Swiss automatic movement and can be had for a fraction of the price of the other. I wear it proudly for just what it is with very little thought regarding what it isn't.

Some folks think that anything more than a $50 watch is paying too much, but if you take the plunge on this one, you won't be disappointed. Sorry for the long review, but I felt that it was important to give the kind of details that would answer some of the questions I had before I received mine

    Can't beat it
I've had my Invicta 9937 since June '05 when Invictas first came on the scene and this watch was a newcomer. It was billed as the limited-time-only Rolex copy - replicating all of the quality elements as the Submariner (as opposed to the cheaper Invicta 8926). I've been all over the world in it (I travel a lot - and had it most of the time in the tropics), wear it most days, and have barely affected it. It still looks great and keeps great time. My plan was to get the Rolex when I could afford it, but this thing is so good that I can't justify replacing it with one that is just like it, except for the little Rolex emblem. I love the band, too - no pinching or pulling hairs, and feels high quality. I like the weight of it - rather heavy.

    you wont be disappointed
I've owned one watch for 24 years, a Rolex GMT Master, and it is my most prized possession. I never even really wanted another watch, except another Rolex, the Submariner. Well, in today's economy, plunking down $4,000 to $5,000 for a watch just seems a little irresponsible. I ran across the 'little brother' of this watch, the Invicta 8926 Pro Diver with Japanese automatic movement, one day on a shopping channel for $89 and thought why not? It sure looks like a Sub. When I got it, I was really blown away by the quality. Then I started researching and discovered there is a Swiss movement version of the Invicta Pro Diver, the 9937. Since I always considered myself a bit of a watch snob, I wanted the best, so even though the 8926 was absolutely great, I ordered the 9937. As previous reviewers have mentioned, it is worth the extra money. The crystal, the cyclops, the nicer band and heavy duty clasp and of course the Swiss movement all added up to a really beautiful piece of fine jewelry. I actually prefer the way it feels on my wrist to my older Rolex, it's just a bit heavier, feels very solid, and the case is a bit thicker. The band actually surpasses the Rolex band, quite surprising. The movement is quite nice and the accuracy is on par with the Rolex.

No automatic watch will ever be as accurate as a quartz, but + or - a few seconds a day really isn't that big a deal to me. I'm not crazy about the engraved 'Invicta' on the side of the case (of all Invictas), but frankly, it's hardly noticeable. I found this watch on sale for about $265. It's easily worth much, much more IMHO. Buy it, you'll like it. An if you're on a budget, grab the 8926, you can find that for under $100 if you look around
Invicta 9937 - best watch value on the market

I am a 60+ year-old collector and hobbyist watchmaker. Over the years I have owned and worn such fine timepieces as the Rolex Submariner and GMT Master II; 1951 Omega Seamaster Chronometer, Patek Phillipes, several vintage Hamiltons and contemporary Blancpains. In my opinion, the build quality of the Invicta 9937 is understandably a few notches short of the Pateks and Blancpains -- but then it is, in some cases, less than one twentieth of their price -- at discount. Time will tell (no pun intended) but it appears to be at least the equivalent of the Rolexes in terms of durability. As to accuracy out of the box, it is the most precise automatic watch I have ever owned, besting even the 1951 Omega; against an atomic clock, it has varied only three seconds in a one-month period. That is astounding. Sure, the MSRP is inflated; that is a given in today's retail market. But if you know watches and you know real value, buy this watch. Wear it; use it hard. Take it to an honest, certified Rolex, Omega or any other high-end watchmaker. Compare the 9937 side-by-side with a Submariner, GMT, Seamaster or your choice of $2500-$5000-plus watches.

Then ask yourself, which manufacturers are riding on hype and their brand name, asking and getting prices far in excess of their products' real value while their build quality and service decline, and which manufacturer is offering the public a product at a price -- even at its MSRP -- that is shockingly low for its tactile, visual and functional quality? Then go congratulate yourself on your buying decision. You won't be disappointed.

    Solid Watch for $250
This is one of the best watches for the money that I have ever seen. The Sellita SW200-1 Movement is almost a clone of the ETA 2842 Movement with the addition of one jewel and has proved itself to me as a solid, reliable workhorse movement. And at 28,800 vph it has the exact same sweep rate as a Rolex 3135 Calibre.

When the watch arrived I noticed that it was weightier than I expected which gives it an extremely solid feel. The links and case are all made from thick, solid 316L stainless steel; an alloy that magnets will not stick to which gives the movement more resistant to EMI than a titanium case watch making for a more accurate timepiece. Over the past few months that I've owned the watch I've also noticed that it would gain about 2 minutes a month or a variation of +4 sec/day. Not inaccurate but I got tired of it doing this so I had one of my co-workers (a watchmaker) regulate it for me and now it keeps time with no noticeable variations (actually keeps perfect time with my computer).

The crown on the watch is a screw down which gives the watch greater water resistance. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE IT SCREWED DOWN; NOT HAVING THE CROWN SCREWED DOWN WILL COMPROMISE THE WATER RESISTANCE OF THE WATCH!
Basically this watch is a direct copy of a Rolex Submariner with a few pros & cons.
    PROS:
-Everyone thinks it is a genuine Submariner unless they look really close.
-Exhibition caseback, you can see the rotor and the balance wheel (the beating heart of the watch)
-Hack to wind movement, at the unscrewed position the watch can be hand wound; 25 times fully fills the reserve.
-Polished center links gives the watch more flash than a Submariner
-Better clasp than a Rolex clasp (excluding the new Rolex Glide-Lock clasp system)
    CONS:
-Luminous markers lose their brightness quickly & recharge slowly.
-Bezel is a bit stiff when rotating; a few drops of 3in1 or WD-40 fixes this.
-Exhibition caseback limits water resistance to 200m (not that most of you will ever be diving that deep).
-Flame Fusion crystals, basically soldered glass; hard thin sapphire layer over mineral glass. Has strange prismatic properties and is not as durable as synthetic sapphire.
-Cyclops (date magnifier) is lower than it should be. Invicta's quality control isn't what it should be. Misalignment does not hinder the reading of the date though (nit-picking).
    OTHER NOTES:
-Invicta markings all over the place, even the second hand has pierced wings on the back end of it.
-Rotor does not "freewheel" like a higher end watch (TAG, Breitling, Patek, Hublot, etc.); it works completely fine but it is a bit stiffer.
Bottom line is: insanely good watch for the price tag on it!

Classic dive watch styling with Swiss reliability, the Invicta Men's Subaqua Collection Automatic Chronograph Stainless Steel and Black Watch functions without a battery -- it is powered automatically with the movement of your arm. This impressive timepiece also features a two-tone brushed and polished stainless steel case and a band that closes with a fold-over safety clasp. The stainless steel case provides an ideal foundation for this watch's rotating bezel with minute markers and the attractive dial. The dial has luminous hands and orb hour markers and there are three subdials at the six, nine, and 12 o'clock positions. There is also a date window at the three o'clock position to help you keep tabs on your busy schedule. For added style, Invicta included a large crown and two buttons on the right-hand side of the case. Other features include precise Swiss automatic movement, a durable flame-fusion crystal, and water resistance to 1640 feet (500 meters).

They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

  • Invicta 9403 "Submariner" vs Alpha "Planet Ocean"

    Posted: 2012-01-26 02:33:46 UTC-08:00

This video shows the movement of my Invicta 9403 Submariner homage, and my Alpha Planet Ocean homage watches.

It may not show in the video, but the Invicta movement seems a little smoother. The Alpha is more accurate, and hacks. The Invicta runs a little fast. Both watches feel very solid, and look great.

Here are the specs on the watch movements. They are very similar.

21 Jewels, 21,600 BPH for the Miyota 8215 movement in the Invicta.
21 Jewels, 21,600 BPH for the Seagull ST16 movement in the Alpha.

The music is called Brave New Tango by the Ostrich Farm, a friend's band.
  • Invicta 8926A Review - 2 Years Later after buy

    Posted: 2012-01-26 02:31:59 UTC-08:00

A quick review of my Invicta 8926A automatic diver watch after two years of ownership. I've worn this watch almost every day and it has held up very well indeed.

    LeathermanFan2
I got my Invicta Pro Diver 8926OBV2 a week ago and used Scotch-Brite Pad to get the high polish band to a satin finish too. Good tip to pass on. If you rotate the unidirectional bezel over and over you will break it in and it will be very easy to turn after awhile. But, you might have to do it about 1,000 times or more over and over for a few days though. If you can turn the rotating unidirectional bezel with just two fingers with ease after while of turning it over and over it is prefect then.
  • Invicta Men's 3843, 3845, 3468, 3469, Skeletonized Russian Diver Watch Review

    Posted: 2012-01-26 02:25:59 UTC-08:00

This is hands down the best and most expensive watch I own. Based on the massive attention, astonishment, bewilderment and shock I have received from this watch, I really don't see the need to get another watch any time soon.

When I was working in the club district, there were guys that had $10,000+ watches that would tuck their tales between their legs and scurry along when they saw the godzilla size rose gold clock on my wrist. In case you're wondering... rose gold is regular gold with a dash of copper in it to give it a reddish/pinkish tone, hence the name rose gold.

The rose tone/black gun metal version (Model No. 3845) I bought was an Anniversary Edition item so I am not sure if they are available for sale anymore.

Be care guys, if you don't want jaw dropping attention, eye popping shock and awe, etc. I simply recommend you stick with the chrome and stainless steel version (Model No. 3468) which is just as incredibly beautiful in design except without the extra love and attention from the gold plating:

Also, be careful about letting other people windup the watch for you. For some mysterious and unknown reason, people get a kick out of watching all the intertwining gears interact and move as they wind up the watch. A full windup lasts about 3 days so when I was wearing it everyday for work at the clubs, I would wind it up every other day.

There is also a stainless steel and black gun metal version (Model No. 3843) that was made at the same time as my Rose Gold version as part of the Anniversary Edition collection which looks really bad ass as well.

One last note... all these skeletonized Russian Divers use red rubies for all the gear ball bearings because rubies were hard, smooth, and could last a long time.

The only bad thing about these skeletonized Russian Divers is that once you get one, it will be very tough to find another more stunningly beautiful watch.

I hope you derive as much enjoyment out of this watch as I did. Please come back and leave a comment after you get the watch and let the rest of us know how you like it. Enjoy!!!

Someone emailed me and asked about the gold Nixon watch I mentioned in the video that was comparable to this Invicta but not skeletonized and here it is:

About Automatic Movements Exhibition case backs make for great complications. This is especially true when they display automatic movements. Automatic movements stem from mechanical movements with one key difference: a mechanism automatically winds the timepiece's mainspring as opposed to forcing the wearer to manually wind. This occurs thanks to a weighted rotor that spins on its own axis, continually charging the mainspring. Timepieces with automatic movements are meant to be appreciated for the craftsmanship and complex aesthetic that they provide and are a must-have for any watch enthusiast!

    OMG
This watch is totally amazing! Looks so much better in person! I got this watch for my husband's birthday and man oh man is he happy. We had to get several links removed to fit him but it was worth the wait (thanks Macy's).

    Great watch
Watch is just as described. Looks great. Kinda heavy compared to the usual 40mm watches. Lots of bracelet to work with. I took 6 links out and I'm average sized. Face is easy to read

    great watch
Awesome watch! Looks great, kinda heavy. Has all the functions of a luxury watch. I don't know how Invicta can make such a great watch for the price. Highly recommend. Get compliments all the time. People don't believe when I tell them how much it cost.

    GREAT WATCH
I bought this watch as a replacement for another Invicta. Not only is this a much better looking watch, it is a compliment magnet. No one at work believes what I paid for it. Only thing I would change is the band. I took it to a jeweler and they took out about four links to ft my arm. Really great watch

    Great Watch
This is a great watch. I was a little hesitant at first because i couldn't try on the watch before i bought it but i am so happy i ended up buying it. I purchased the watch a few weeks ago and wanted to give it some time before reviewing. This watch is heavy, looks amazing, and has some great functions. This is the first Invicta that i have purchased and it exceeds all previous notions that i had about them. I get compliments all the time and its just an awesome watch. Highly recommend for anyone. Plus it is very durable and a solid watch. I've had the ceramic watches and other stainless steel watches from Bulova, Sottomarino, and a few other companies but this one is tough.

    Awesome watch! Awesome quality
I just received this watch and the whole thing including the bracelet is a nice heavy weight but not overly heavy. I was worried that the bracelet would be flimsy but it totally not. I dont have to worry about breaking this watch, it's very sterdy. It's amazing quality for the price, actually it's amazing quality. I own all types of watches and this one is def one of my favorites. I highly recamend this watch for all men

    Glorious piece of steel
Let me tell you, heavy and huge as desired and expected. You get used to it. I thought It might be hard to get used to, but is was not. I haven't been under water yet. Everything else is perfect so far. Croud pleaser.

    Great Heavy Watch
My girlfriend bought me this watch for our 2 year anniversary and I have to say "It is an amazing watch!" I have several other watches (MTM Special Ops, Luminox, Casio, Timex, Infantry, ect...) and 2 other Invicta watches (Invicta Reserve 6872 & Invicta Pro Diver 0420). This watch is heavy and very big. I have big wrists and this thing looks like a tank. Someone else referred to it as a wrist clock and I have to say that that is very accurate. I had to have 3 links removed to fit my wrist

    Heavy b*****d but nice
This watch is not for small wrists or small guys.. be at as it may. its not the biggest watch out there or should I say wrist-clock.. but it is distinctive enough to get a double look AND I repeat it is very heavy..I took out one too many links.. I need to put one back... I like my watches just snug not too loose or too tight.. but this watch was so heavy that my usual slight loose fit was not enough to keep the watch at the proper position.. so I had to make it tighter.. but now, it's too tight.. so I guess I ll put back that one link and deal with the off centered position..
make sure you like big bulky watches before you buy it.

Great watch and worth what it costs
The suggested retail price is a blow up to what the watch is really worth. I asked several of my friends to guess the price and they guessed it at $100.00. I tried to wear the watch in the dark and look at the time and the hour and the second hands were not luminous enough. Like the appearance but it is worth $100.00 and not what the suggested price that is listed. I am not sure where the watch is assembled with the SWISS MOVT since it is not Swiss made.

I just recently purchased my first Invicta and love it! I have friends who own Invicta watches and they also speak highly about the quality and solidness of their wrist-watch. I'm not going to tell them how much I paid for mine, since I'm seeing that the price I got is no longer available. Purchasing through Amazon is the best, no tax, no shipping fee, arrives within a reasonable time frame. I will recommend Invicta watches to anyone! Happy shopping and good luck with future purchase's to all that read this.

Huge watch but I wouldn't want it any other way
Okay, everyone is complaining about how big it is. It is true, it's a big watch. Definitely the biggest watch I have ever had. Just because it's big people, doesn't mean its a bad watch! There is a reason why there is a ruler on one of the images. Let's get real, if you don't want a big watch it's only one simple click and hey, hey. There, now you know what size it is. Also, I have a watch that is a lot smaller and weighs a lot more than this watch. So weight-wise I can't complain. This is absolutely the nicest watch I have ever had and the second I laid eyes on it I knew that my other watches are gonna get left in the drawer for a long time.

    My first watches Invicta
The first impression that occurs when you see these clocks - what are they big! :)
Despite the fact that I was looking to buy on the site of their size, these watches still exceeded my expectations.
But I am very pleased with your purchase! Yes, watches are great but for me it is rather a plus than a minus. On the men's hands, they look good. And when you look at them to know the time, you do not have to strain and stare - you immediately realize what time it is. Phosphate illumination is clearly visible in the dark.
For my hand was a bit longish time bracelet, but this problem is easily resolved in an hour workshop.
For those who want to buy a comfortable watch and who like a big clock display - I'd recommend this watch.

    Invicta Men's (Model 0379)
    -This product is excellent!
    -Quality is great.
    -Looks great on me.
    -The packaging is awesome.
    -Delivery was swift
    -I recommend it highly

    Just what i wanted
I was looking for a large watch, Because i can't see worth a hoot. this is what i wanted, it looks great

    Gorgeous Watch
I love this watch and I wear it daily. Yes, the face of this watch is gigantic. No, that's not a bad thing. I have thicker than average wrists and most mens watches look like a ladies watch when I put them on. I've had it for over 6 months now and it still looks great. It's got a decent heft to it but it is by no means heavy, especially for it's size. It now has some minor scratches on the band that come from normal wear, and the face is still flawless. It keeps excellent time and mechanically it's working just as it did the day I took it out of the box. It is very easy to read at a glance, the numbers and hands glow all night long after wearing it for a day or two. The carbon fiber and chrome trim in the dial all line up perfectly with no gaps, machine marks or uneven edges.
Note: (I shouldn't have to say this, but...) You will probably need to adjust this watch in order to wear it. I'd recommend picking up a link removal tool for a few bucks on Amazon.com if you don't already have one.

    Just as advertised
This is just as described. The face on this watch is huge which is what I was looking for. I am a gym rat and at 6'4" 240, normal watches look like a lady's watch on my wrist. The only downside about this watch is that the upper button which controls the month hits my hand causing it to jump ahead one month

    Great watch
I bought this watch for myself as a gift, it is a big watch and I love it, the quality of it is 5 star for the price and it looks great.

    Great watch
This is the first time I bought a watch online. I really liked this watch when I saw it online. I really like the black dail for this watch. The size is perfect fitting for my wrist. It doesn't weigh much; which i really like. Been wearing it for a week since I got it.
Funny Fact: I spent $90 for the watch. The chain was way too big for my wrist. Had to spend $20 extra on sizing it again at local store in the mall.
Overall, its a great product which will grasp others sight when they see it on my wrist!

    AMAZING
This watch is beautiful, ITS BIG, so if you dont want a huge watch face, leave this watch alone. From left side to crown is about 2inches. Had 4 links removed and it fits perfectly. I will be purchasing more invicta watches in the future because i am so pleased with this piece. The warranty goes up based on MSRP $695 if you forgot) but it does cover for 4 years

Big, Flava Flav is my new profile on Facebook
Big watch...all Invicta watches are big so any reviews complaining about that should be discounted when reading them. The only thing keeping this from being 5 star was the light weight of the band which felt a little cheap. That said, I paid so little for this watch that I feel that I got a good value. Compare this watch to others in this price range and Invicta beats them in both looks and quality. Furthermore, anybody knows how much a Kenneth Cole watch costs...not as many know about Invicta. Great value.

    Good Value
Yes, this is a very large watch, but with me being a large guy, the bigger head size works for me. I just have to remove a link or two, as the band is set to the largest size possible. I wish I had the two time zone function when I was overseas last week, it would have saved some headaches...

Nice looking watch but WHAT IS TODAYS DATE
The Invicta Mens 0379 II Stainless watch is a great looking watch. This is a traditional looking watch that that retains a classic and sleek look - except for the size. So if you are a person that doesn't like the spotlight but like to be noticed as having classic styling, this watch, even for its size, is the watch for you.
The face of the watch is great. The numbers are large and easy to read. The carbon fiber face plate looks cool, not to wacky or out of place. The month and 24 hour dials look good but serve little purpose other than looks.

MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT ---- the date box. It is IMPOSSIBLE to read the date without having a bright light directly on the watch and a perfect viewing angle. REALLY! If you are like me, forgetting the date and continually look at your watch to remind yourself, then the Inveicta Men's 0379 II will drive you nuts!

Now, I just scrolled through the numbers in the date box. 1-19 are hard as hell to read. Most of the 20's and all of the 30's are clearer - easier to read. So if it is early in the month, you better use a sharpie to write the date on the back side of your wrist so you don't forget.

This is my first "over-sized" watch. It took a day or two to get used to but I absolutely love it (less the date issue). I thought at first the size would draw attention to me above and beyond what I am used to. Not exactly sure that I would welcome such attention, however, even though the watch is large, you get used to its' size as well as the additional attention it gets you. So ya, a little adjustment but nothing to out of the ordinary. It looks great and is not too heavy as stated in other reviews. I feel I have skinny wrists. I am 6'3", 220# and have 7 1/2" wrists. Skinny, right? But the watch does not look out of place.
I may or may not keep it. We will see if the date issue is a deal breaker. Other than that, great looking watch. Hope the quality of the watch stands the test of time for me.

Very Large Watch, it's a true story
Watch was indeed huge and heavy. Should have paid more attention to the fine print and previous reviews. Looked good asside from that

    Why the big face
So, yeah, this watch is a monster. Huge. Had to take out every link available pretty much. The watch face is the width of my wrist

    nice ,,, v nice ,, i do like it
i found it nice ,,, good enough for what i was looking for . but i didn't get the receipt with it !

    Good brand, excellent price
I bought this watch for my husband. In the past I had an Invicta and it worked pretty well. I recommended this to him and so far (1 month in our ownership) it has also worked well. It's an elegant watch that can compare to others, even more expensive. This is a good quality watch at an excellent price..Recommended!!

    awesome watch
i got this watch about a week ago and have worn it everyday since. i wear it on my left hand because i am right handed. got this watch even though it a lefty watch because i really liked the look of it. the crown does not bother my arm in the least and is still usable. it is a fairly large watch, not as big as the diver i was looking at before, but you will get comments on its size and although it is large the watch is pretty light. the minute hand on the crono is a little hard to see but other then that the watch is very readable. it is however not as bright at night as i would have liked but it is still bright enough. if you want to make this watch go with more clothes by changing out the band you do not need a tool to take the band off, although im having trouble finding the invicta 22mm bands. over all an awesome watch and im saving up for another!!

    Awesome watch
i've got nothing bad to say about the watch, it is gorgeous, and it is big, but for me its a good thing, i would highly recommend this watch

    GREAT LOOKING WATCH
This is an absolutely gorgous looking watch. From the shine of the black face to the unity of color that flows through the whole watch. This is a great looking watch. It is bigger then the adverage watch, but that more the reason why I love this watch. You will love this watch garenteed

    Solid
This is a beautiful, big, well-engineered watch. For the price, it beats all out there.
I own a number of watches, of various levels of technological sophistication, but I recently decided all I really needed on a daily basis was a watch to tell time, and occasionally time events. This watch is tailor made for the task: well made, easy to use, and *BIG*.
I love this watch and can't recommend it highly enough.

    I Love Invicta
I have this in the gold.
I can't say enough about the class and style of the invicta line. This is my 5th one and I'll be pricing another "Lefty".
Amazon, and Invicta please continue to make and sell manly watches that reflect big size(50-52mm), weight and style, and I vow to remain a loyal fan.

Great watch but sub-dials don't match the picture
Just received this watch the other day and I must say that it looks and works great. The numbers are large and easy to read and they glow in the dark as do the hour and minute hand. All in all the watch is great but it does look different from the pictures. On the watch that was delivered to me the sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position is a 1/10 of a second counter, the 3 o'clock dial is the second and for regular time, and the sub-dial at the 12 position is a minute and hour counter. These things do not change this watch for me at all but I wish Amazon would have given accurate pictures.

    Invicta watch
I absolutely love this watch. I bought a lefty because I hate how the buttons dig into your wrist. I still wear it on my left arm. watch manufacturers need to start thinking about this when they design bigger watches. Who adjusts the time while they are wearing the watch anyway

    love it
I'm now 20 years old and realized i really needed a good watch (plus it really completes the outfit) so I saw this nice left handed watch all black perfect starter watch plus the face is big enough to get a lot of attention along with the piano black finish (which you can't see in the photo) that makes it glossy in person the black leather straps with the white stitching is a very nice touch. At $130 you can't help but get this watch. Can't wait to wear it at school!

    Worth the wait
I love my watch. I'm glad I waited until I found this one. I am a small woman and this is a big watch. I am a lefty but I didn't realize how much I am use to setting my watch with my right hand. It was a little weird at first but now it is as easy with my left. I drain watch batteries very fast but so far this has been ticking since December. Most batteries last about 3-6 months in my watches. This is a heavy duty watch! I have a couple of Invictas now.

    Awesome
Great looking watch, fits great on a righty too! I wear it on my left wrist with no problems at all.

    !Black Mamba
this watch reminds me of kobe looks badass lethal watch! everyone has to digg this watch!

    Maravilloso

    beautiful item
the clock is spectacular, very impressive, and a little great, but it is worth to have it, is the most beauty one that I have now

    Product Description
Experience the Invicta Men's 1476 Sea Spider Scuba Watch in all its two-tone glory. This exceptional black and stainless steel timepiece begins with a round 50mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional black and silver-toned bezel and a protected crown with two pushers. These elements surround a bold black dial, which is protected by a flame-fusion crystal and features luminous index hour markers and luminous hands powered by reliable Japanese quartz movement. The dial also features three chronograph sub-dials offering 60-second, 60-second and 1/10th-of-a-second sub-dials and a date display window at the 3 'o clock position. A polyurethane barrel link bracelet with stainless steel accents straps this watch to the wrist, while a fold-over safety clasp ensures its secure placement. Finally, this watch boasts water resistance up to 660 feet (200 meters). A classic combo of silver and black tones gives this watch a transcendent presence on the wrist that you will be glad to show off. It's also a flurry of function that is not afraid of the water, so it works well for all occasions.

    Nice Watch
very nice for the price. Bigger than it looks on the pics, really love it. perfect if you like big cases.
    super fast shipping!

Excellent! But its 48mm not 50mm
This watch looks fantastic. Invicta has a way of making $100 watches look like $500 watches. They keep perfect time and last for years. My only beef with this product is that the picture shows that the bezel is 50mm. It is actually 48.34mm according to my dial calipers. A small quibble to say the least but it may matter to someone out there. To me, however, it is the perfect size.

    love it
Beautiful watch. I gave it as a gift and everyone including the recipient were awestruck. Good value and I am very pleased

    Huge watch - just beautiful
This watch is huge. I love big watches so it's a perfect size for me. Originally shipped, the band should fit king kong, so if you don't have a pair of watch screwdrivers, you're going to have to take to a jeweler for sizing. Other than that, this watch is gorgeous

This is a REALLY BIG watch! Great value for money
Ordered as an Amazon 'Lightning Deal' for $99.00. Delivered for free in 48 hours.
Having never worn a "big" watch, I was stunned by the 50 mm case diameter upon first opening the box. Sort of a poor man's Submariner on mega-steroids. The detail on the face is striking, and the black and white motif works very well. The case and all buttons are solid and the overall build is far superior to other $100 chronometer-style watches.
The band is large enough to fit around my upper arm. I spent about an hour with my jeweler's screwdriver removing links. The band is combination rubber and stainless steel - good feel.
I am getting used to the size, and plan to wear it in public in 2012... ' fo shizzle!
Seriously, this is a very good buy: great styling, accurate chrono, looks much more expensive.

    Nice
Bought it for my husband for Christmas . He loves it. Looks very nice. Can't go wrong for the price. Friends commented on how nice it is.

    Good Watch, Great Deal
As others have said the watch is large but it looks good. It doesn't jump out as large when you have it on but sitting next to my other watches it looks almost twice the size.
Someone claimed the bezel wouldn't move but I suspect that they hadn't removed the clear plastic coating that the watch is shipped with.
The one thing that could be a problem with the watch is that the band is held together with many tiny screws, when I got the watch some of the screws were loose and one fell out. This is not that big of an issue because you will need to resize the watch anyway and should tighten all the screws at that time. After you resize the watch you will have plenty of spare screws should you lose one.

    Love this one
This too is my first LARGE watch. In fact it's my first new watch in several years. The band was easy to adjust and it looks great on my wrist. Had MANY comments on how nice this watch is. I got lucky and grabbed the last one the other day right before Christmas
